Ingredients

Scale

1 teaspoon ginseng root powder or 1 small ginseng root, sliced

1 green tea bag (or 1 teaspoon loose leaf green tea)

1 cup water

1/2 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, dairy, etc.)

1 teaspoon honey or sweetener of choice (optional)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of cinnamon or matcha powder for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Boil the Water: Bring the water to a boil in a small pot or kettle.
  • Steep the Ginseng: Add the ginseng root powder or slices to the boiling water. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Brew the Green Tea: Remove the pot from heat and add the green tea bag or loose leaf tea. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Heat the Milk: While the tea is steeping, heat the milk in a separate pot or microwave until warm but not boiling.
  • Strain the Tea: Remove the tea bag (or strain out the leaves and ginseng slices if using loose leaf and whole root).
  • Combine: Pour the green tea and ginseng infusion into a mug, add the warm milk, and stir well.
  • Sweeten: Add honey, vanilla extract, or your preferred sweetener if desired. Stir to combine.
  • Garnish: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or matcha powder on top for a little extra flair.
