Tota Farms has specialized in growing high quality Canadian Ginseng for more than thirty years. Both three and four year old roots are harvested annually and are available for wholesale purchase. Extensive testing for heavy metals and DDT is conducted annually prior to distribution and Certificates of Analysis accompany each shipment so you can ensure only the highest quality products are received.
We follow strict protocols to maintain the integrity of our products. This includes following the Codex Alimentarius international food standard guidelines for ginseng products, developed by the World Health Organization.
Tota Farms is a proud member of the Ontario Ginseng Growers Association and we are able to provide the required CITES export permits for any shipments out of Canada.
Annual harvest begins in October. Harvested roots are immediately cooled for a two-week period. Once this two week period has lapsed, roots are then thoroughly washed and hand-graded by our experienced, dedicated, and valued team members-many of whom have been with us for decades.
We have fresh roots readily available from October to November annually.
Once washed, the roots are dried in kilns for approximately two weeks. When the drying process ends, roots are once again meticulously graded to ensure that nothing but the highest quality roots are available for our customers.
Dry roots are generally ready to be shipped by early December and are packaged in 75 pound boxes.
Dried roots are hand selected and put through our state of the art processing machine to form a 40-mesh powder. There are no additives or fillers, so you can ensure you are getting nothing but 100% pure Canadian ginseng.
Our ginseng powder is available year-long, and we have various packaging options available.
